System Completion Summary\n\n## Overview\nThe DevPulse API Insights system has been completed with a full end-to-end pipeline that scans APIs for security vulnerabilities, tracks LLM costs, triggers alerts, and generates compliance reports.\n\n---\n\n## What Was Completed\n\n### 1. ✅ Database Schema (Prisma)\n**File**: `prisma/schema.prisma`\n\nAdded complete database models:\n- **Scan** - Stores security scan results for API endpoints\n- **Vulnerability** - Detailed vulnerability findings linked to scans\n- **Alert** - Real-time alerts for critical/high severity issues\n- **LLMUsage** - LLM token usage and cost tracking\n- **ComplianceCheck** - Compliance framework checks (PCI DSS, GDPR)\n- **ThinkingTokenLog** - Thinking token attribution (Patent 2)\n\n### 2. ✅ Backend API Endpoints (Express)\n**File**: `server/server.ts`\n\n#### Security Scanner Endpoints\n- `POST /scan` - Performs real HTTP security scans with OWASP API Top 10 checks\n - Sends actual HTTP requests with timeout (10s)\n - Detects: HTTPS enforcement, CORS misconfiguration, missing security headers, exposed credentials\n - Returns: vulnerability findings with severity ratings (CRITICAL, HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW)\n - Stores results in database\n - Triggers alerts for CRITICAL/HIGH findings\n\n- `GET /scans/:userId` - Retrieves all scan results for a user\n\n#### Postman Import Endpoint\n- `POST /postman/import` - Imports Postman collections and scans for:\n - Exposed API keys, tokens, passwords in headers/auth\n - Security vulnerabilities in endpoint URLs\n - Returns: credential findings + security scan results\n - Auto-triggers alerts for critical issues\n\n#### LLM Cost Tracking Endpoints\n- `POST /llm/log` - Logs LLM usage (tokens, cost, model, endpoint)\n- `GET /llm/usage/:userId` - Retrieves usage history (last 100 requests)\n- `GET /llm/summary/:userId` - Provides aggregated summary:\n - Total cost, tokens, requests\n - Cost breakdown by model (% distribution)\n - Daily cost breakdown (30-day trend)\n - Most expensive model\n\n#### Alert Endpoints\n- `GET /alerts/:userId` - Gets active (unresolved) alerts\n- `PATCH /alerts/:alertId/resolve` - Marks alert as resolved\n\n#### Compliance Endpoints\n- `GET /compliance/:userId` - Retrieves compliance check history\n- `POST /compliance/check` - Runs a compliance check\n- `POST /compliance/report/:userId` - Generates comprehensive compliance report:\n - **PCI DSS v4.0.1**: 5 requirements with PASS/FAIL/WARN status\n - **GDPR**: Article 25, 32, 32(1)(a) compliance\n - Requirement details with evidence, findings, remediation\n - Compliance percentage calculation\n - Report ID for tracking\n - Attestation metadata\n\n#### Thinking Tokens Endpoints\n- `POST /thinking-tokens/log` - Logs thinking token usage metadata\n- `GET /thinking-tokens/stats/:userId` - Retrieves stats by model\n- `GET /thinking-tokens/analyze/:userId` - Analyzes thinking efficiency\n\n#### Unified Risk Score Endpoint\n- `GET /scan/risk-score/:userId` - Calculates unified risk score per endpoint:\n - 60% security risk (from vulnerability severity)\n - 40% cost anomaly risk (from LLM cost spikes)\n - Returns: endpoint-level risk scores\n\n#### Shadow API Discovery Endpoints (Patent 3)\n- `POST /shadow-api/discover` - Discovers undocumented endpoints\n- `GET /shadow-api/inventory/:userId` - Shadow API inventory\n- `GET /shadow-api/stats/:userId` - Shadow API statistics\n- `PATCH /shadow-api/resolve/:endpointId` - Resolve shadow API\n\n### 3. ✅ Real Security Scanning Logic\n**Function**: `performSecurityScan(endpoint)`\n\n**Real HTTP Checks**:\n- Sends real HTTP GET requests to target endpoints\n- 10-second timeout with AbortController\n- User-Agent: `DevPulse-SecurityScanner/1.0`\n\n**Vulnerability Detection**:\n- ❌ **No Fake Logic** - All detection is based on actual HTTP responses\n- HTTPS enforcement check (protocol validation)\n- CORS misconfiguration detection (checks `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *`)\n- Missing security headers (HSTS, X-Content-Type-Options)\n- Response analysis for exposed credentials (regex pattern matching in JSON responses)\n- Status code analysis (401/403 = auth enforced, 200 = check for sensitive data)\n\n**Error Handling**:\n- Timeout errors → MEDIUM risk\n- Fetch failures → HIGH risk (unreachable endpoint)\n- Invalid URLs → Proper error response\n\n### 4. ✅ LLM Cost Tracking (Real Only)\n- Logs usage ONLY when called via `POST /llm/log`\n- **No fabricated data** - if no usage exists, endpoints return empty/zero values\n- Calculations are dynamic based on stored records\n- Daily breakdown aggregation from timestamps\n- Model-based cost distribution\n\n### 5. ✅ Alert System (Event-Driven)\n**Function**: `createAlert()` + `sendAlertNotification()`\n\n**Triggers**:\n- Automatically fires on CRITICAL or HIGH severity findings\n- Creates database record in `Alert` table\n- Calls notification function\n\n**Notifications**:\n- **Slack**: Sends formatted message to webhook (if `SLACK_WEBHOOK_URL` is set)\n - Includes severity, endpoint, issue description\n - Markdown formatting with severity badge\n- **Email**: SMTP support (if `SMTP_HOST` is configured)\n - Currently logs to console, ready for nodemailer integration\n\n**Real Events Only**:\n- Alerts are NOT created for demo/test data\n- Only triggered by actual scan results\n\n### 6. ✅ Compliance Engine (Dynamic)\n**Function**: `generateComplianceReport()`\n\n**PCI DSS v4.0.1 Requirements** (5 mapped):\n1. Requirement 6.5.1 - API Security Controls (OWASP API1)\n2. Requirement 6.5.4 - Secure Coding Practices (OWASP API2)\n3. Requirement 2.2.7 - TLS/HTTPS Enforcement (OWASP API8)\n4.
